Abstract - Fighting arts studies A.D. 2024 publications and scientific development

Problem. The subjects are: 1) the development of knowledge in the field of fighting arts and the course of this process from the perspective of GTFA (General Theory of Fighting Arts); 2) an analysis of the activities of institutions co-creating or cooperating in this area. The article covers the period from autumn 2023 to September 2024.
Method. The analysis concerns the activities of people and specialized scientific societies, conferences, workshops and other meetings held, as well as new, more important scientific publications. It is a kind of review, factual, and a review study (opinions on events and publications). Various categories of sources were taken into account.
Results. The activities of several scientific institutions (including IPA and IMACSSS) over the past year were discussed. A review of new publications in the interdisciplinary area of fighting arts was carried out. The issues raised were: achieving honors and dis Pivtinctions by master-teachers; women – outstanding representatives of the world of martial arts; physical dimensions (hand-to-hand combat) and cultural dimensions (sabre, traditional fencing). Reference was also made to selected mass culture content, such as martial arts cinema, and some popularizing publications.
Conclusions. The article is both a report from another year of the functioning of several institutions and a contribution to the development of the history of selected organizations, as both a factual record and a review of interesting events (conferences, publications, and other important events).
