Abstract - Bonfire performances in the perspective of stage concept

Participants of active tourism as well as any other kind of tourism organise bonfires in order to finish an active day or even a longer time experience in a celebrated and social way. It concerns hunting, mushrooming party, fishing, canoeing, sailing, cycling, hiking, camping or family get-a-ways. The representatives of all age groups take part in the bonfires including children, youngsters and adults.
Bonfire performances in the natural surroundings are connected with introducing the concept of the performance, rehearsals and live performances. It requires creativity and endurance in looking for songs, gags and competitions. Moreover, a lot of imagination is needed. Whilst preparing the bonfire show, the performers are dealing with dramatic, acrobatic and singing performances. They get to know the scenario and the screenplay- constituent parts of the script of performance. They get involved in the creation of theatre performance.
Due to the rehearsals before the bonfire performance, the elements of actors’ craftsmanship are revealed. It concerns behaviour on stage, speaking abilities, dealing with sets, dancing, costumes, decoration, light, music, listening to friends’, teacher’s or instructor’s (functioning as director) remarks.
Performances in the open air have got special character of integration with the audience, actors and nature. Children and young people are particularly aware and sensitive to those experiences and they help them to overcome stage fright.
Preparation, rehearsal and performing of the bonfire shows are a practical form of implementing the theatre culture into everyday life.
